Lighthouse Families supports children with additional needs and their families in Swansea by offering guidance on diagnosis, access to schools and therapies, peer support groups, training for educators, advocacy, and inclusive activities to promote wellbeing and social inclusion.

Objects: To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit Of Individuals With Additional Needs And Their Families Who Are Socially Excluded Due To Disability Or Neurodivergence And To Relieve The Needs Of Such People In Particular But Not Exclusively By:• Providing Guidance, Information, And Practical Support To Families In Relation To Navigating The Process Of Diagnosis For Neurodevelopmental Conditions And Disabilities And Accessing Appropriate Educational Provision And Extracurricular And Community Activities Suited To The Child’s Needs And Interests;• Offering Training And Resources For Educators And Professionals Working With Children With Additional Needs;• Facilitating Access To Therapeutic Services, Including Speech And Language Therapy And Occupational Therapy;• Raising Awareness And Educating The Wider Community About The Challenges And Strengths Of Children With Additional Needs; And• Advocating On Behalf Of Families To Promote More Inclusive Practices In Schools, Community Settings, And Public Policy.
