Providing information and support to unpaid Carers by1. holding a weekly Carers drop-in centre;2. populating notice boards in GP surgeries and other venues;3. liaising with other statutory bodies and support groups;4. holding meetings for Carers with speakers from Health, Social Services and other bodies;5. organising activities to bring Carers together socially.
Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is To Relieve The Needs Of Carers Over The Age Of 18 In The Newport Area By:-• Providing Support, Information, Guidance And Practical Assistance; • Promoting The Health And Well-Being Of Carers; • Promoting Public Awareness Of The Needs And Contributions Of Carers; • Working With Other Organisations And Agencies To Improve Services And Policies For Carers.
