Activities

SMIF is dedicated to improving mental health awareness, advocacy, and access to culturally appropriate education and services. Through culturally relevant activities, campaigns, and research, we reduce stigma and boost wellness, bridging gaps for underserved, marginalised and underrepresented groups, including Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities, Indigenous people, and trauma survivors.

Objects: To Preserve And Protect The Mental Health And Wellbeing Of People Living In England, By:a) Providing Information, Advice, Support, And Signposting To Promote Positive Mental Health And Wellbeing Across All Stages Of Life, Delivered Through Training, Seminars, Workshops, Outreach Projects, And Online Resources;b) Raising Awareness Of The Factors That Negatively Impact Mental Health And Campaigning To Reduce Stigma And Discrimination Associated With Mental Ill Health;c) Offering Specialist Mental Health Support, Including Therapeutic Services, Counselling, And Guided Referrals To Accredited Mental Health Professionals And Partner Organisations;d) Promoting The Inclusion And Representation Of Individuals With Mental Health Conditions And Associated Disabilities By Working Collaboratively With Other Charities, Community Groups, And Public Sector Bodies.
