Activities

Didcot Arts & Community Association manages the day-to-day running of The Northbourne Centre. Its purpose is to make the Centre available for the use of local groups and individuals and therefore to improve the quality of life for people of Didcot and its surroundings.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are To Further Or Benefit The Residents Of Didcot And The Northbourne Area (The Area Of Benefit), Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating Together The Said Residents And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To:3.1.1 Advance Education;3.1.2 Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation Including Artistic, Dramatic, Musical And Cultural Activities With The Objective Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Residents; And3.1.3 Promote Maintenance, Improvement And Development Of Artistic Taste And The Knowledge, Understanding And Appreciation Of The Arts.3.2 In Furtherance Of These Objects But Not Otherwise, The Trustees Shall Have Power To Establish Or Secure The Establishment Of A Community Centre And To Maintain Or Manage Or Co-Operate With Any Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted By The Charity In Furtherance Of The Above Objects.
