Nothing in this Constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with Section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and Section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
	The CIO has organised public events across the UK, combining exhibitions, conferences, talks and workshops focused on Islamic history, art and culture. These events have allowed the public to view artefacts and artwork, learn about Islamic heritage, and engage in educational activities. Through these activities, the CIO has promoted greater understanding and appreciation of Islamic history, art and culture and its contribution to wider society The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2026 .

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
