Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are: 3.2.1 To Advance In Life And Relieve The Needs Of Young People Under The Age Of 25 From Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Backgrounds Through: 3.2.1.1 The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Social Circumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life; And 3.2.1.2 Providing Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals. 3.2.2 To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing Young People From Becoming Socially Excluded By Enabling Them To Integrate Into Society By The Provision Of: 3.2.2.1 Creative Events Involving The Local Community To Promote Positive Change In And To Motivate, Inspire And Develop People Affected By Social Issues; 3.2.2.2 Educational And Personal Development Programs Which Enable Those Who Are Socially Excluded To Gain Life Skills And Connect And Integrate Them Back Into Society; 3.2.2.3 Educational Visits And Travel To Promote A Love Of Learning And To Prepare Young People For Entry Into Any Occupation, Trade Or Profession On Leaving Any Educational Establishment; And 3.2.2.4 Public Awareness Raising Reports About Issues Affecting Young People Resulting In More Positive Outcomes And Building Hope And Positivity To Change Lives. (For The Purposes Of This Clause ‘Socially Excluded’ Means Young People Under The Age Of 25 Who Are Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of Their Age). Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] And [Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008].
