Activities

Poppy's Light Foundation offers support to children, young people and their families, through holistic interventions. With an additional advancing health offer to prevent young sudden cardiac death in our region, through awareness, screening, research and support for affected families.

Objects: (1) To Relieve The Suffering And Emotional Distress Amongst Parents And Their Families In The North East Of England (The Beneficiaries) Who Have Experienced A Sudden Bereavement, In Particular But Not Exclusively A Bereavement Caused By An Undiagnosed Cardiac Condition, By: • Organising Activities, Experiences And Games That Bring Joy To The Beneficiaries Who Are Struggling With Their Loss; And• Offering Bereavement Support From Specialists Following The Sudden And Unexpected Bereavement.(2) To Preserve The Health Of Every Child And Young Person, In Particular But Not Exclusively Aged From Birth To 21 In The North East Of England, And Such Other Persons As The Trustees May From Time To Time Decide, In Particular But Not Exclusively, By: • Promoting And Facilitating Grass Roots And School Based Non-Invasive Free Cardiovascular Screening So As To Reduce Early Death Rates From Previously Unknown Or Undetected Cardiac Abnormalities Every 3 Years;• Educating Families Of Positive Lifestyle Changes To Reduce The Impact Of Cardiac Conditions; And• Raising Awareness Of Young And Unexplained Cardiac Deaths So That Screening May Enable The Detection And Management Of Cardiac Conditions To Prevent Death And Further Deterioration Of The Heart.(3) To Further Such Other Purposes As Are Exclusively Charitable In Accordance With The Law Of England And Wales As The Trustees May From Time To Time Decide.
