Achievements during the Year 24/25
We have successfully completed the outputs required for our external funding and have no further external funding; the day-to-day operation of the community centre is now entirely self-funding. Since March 2025 all administration has been undertaken by trustees and whilst this has been time consuming it has led to better communication and more effective and efficient running of the building and services. The community centre is well used by both service providers and users with a range of services for people of all ages and abilities. Activities on offer include, Yoga, Dancing, Foreign languages, History lectures, Art group, Parkinsons group, Narcotics anonymous and Mental heath self-help groups, Youth club, Mesh, Jui jitsu, Legal services drop in and Digital skills courses.
We continue to work in partnership with the Dalewood Trust charity to run the community café which is gradually increasing in popularity and has a significant number of regular users. The café continues to offer training and work experience to a number of people with learning disabilities.
We continue to maintain a visible presence in the community.
Aspirations
To continue to listen to requests from members of the public and liaise with local providers to deliver required services.
To expand our volunteer base and hope to attract people with key skills who can help to drive the organisation forward.
To work towards accessing further funding in order to provide a better range of services for our community.
