Achievements and Performance

SORP
reference
Summary of the main achievements
of the charity, identifying the
difference the charity’s work has
made to the circumstances of its
benefciaries and any wider benefts
to society as a whole.
Para 1.20 Before we established, the support available
to the homeless, poor and needy in Cairo,
Egypt was spotty, and in many cases,
non-existent. Many families lived below the
absolute poverty line, relying on the kindness
of strangers and whatever limited
government aid was available at the time.
The charity has run several fundraisers
to assist the c. 500 families we've formally
supported since our incorporation.
The collected funds were used to purchase
food and foodstuffs, blankets, and other
sundries to support them through the
winter months.
The charity also collected zakat money and
other general funds through March-May
2024 for distribution throughout Ramadan
1446H up to Eid al-Adha 1446H.
Through the support provided to these families,
they regain the confidence and stability necessary
to rebuild, contribute back to their country and the
wider global economy, and give hope of a
better world to future generations.
