TO PROMOTE THE SOCIAL INCLUSION AND RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS OF SOMALI DECENT RESIDING IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HACKNEY AND TOWER HAMLETS WHO ARE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, RACE AND NATIONALITY TO ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH: A. EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Objects: To Promote The Social Inclusion And Relieve The Needs Of Individuals Of Somali Decent Residing In The London Borough Of Hackney And Tower Hamlets Who Are Socially And Economically Excluded On The Grounds Of Their Ethnic Origin, Race And Nationality To Assist Them To Integrate Into Society, Primarily But Not Exclusively Through:a. Education And Training In The English Language, Including Support With Translation And Interpretation Services;b. Providing Workshops, Lectures, Homework Support Classes, Parent Forums And General Support/information;c. Signposting To Statutory And Voluntary Sector Organisations To Enable Better Engagement And Encourage Those Providers To Adapt Services To Better Meet The Needs Of That Community;d. Social And Recreational Facilities And Events Involving The Local Community Including Organising Cultural Open Days Directed To Promoting Social Inclusion.for The Purpose Of This Clause ‘socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Or More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Discrimination On The Grounds Of Race, Ethnic Origin, Religion, Belief, Creed, Poor Educational Or Skills Attainment; Poor Housing (that Is Housing That Does Not Meet Basic Habitable Standards.
