Total receipts to the General Fund (unrestricted) were £29,403 and are detailed in Note 2 on page 13. This was a decrease of 8 90A on 20241£32.288). reflecting the generous anonymous donation of £3,000 in 2024, wlthout which income would have been seen about the same year on year. Even so. we manage¢J to end the year wth just a small deficit of income against expendrture, as explained below. General Fund expenditure of £28,788 was 3.81% less than 2024 (£29.926), see Note 3 on page 14. Our Parish Share contribution to th8 Diocese only increased by 2% and decr888es in other categories reflected Several different factors, indudiro lower power consumption and administration costs. Our missionary and charitablè giving continued to mové ctoser to 10% of our income. induding a transfer of £700 to the St Andrew$'8 College Support Fund, the balance of which ￿11 be sent to the college when cost effective. Deslgnated Fund8: Outreach Fund fomerl the Familie8 Worker Fund was renamed in 2024 to allow its wider use to 8SSlSt our work in the community. In 2025. proceeds from and costs relaling to communty events were directed Into this fund. In addition, the Village Youth Club, run jointly by the PCC and member3 of Freedom ChurGh, had to close and the balance of the reslricted Youth Club Fund was transferred into this fund. All Saints, Maintenance & Re airF was funded mainly from fees from weddings and funeral? (£701) and a grant of £315 from the Listed Pla(xs of Worship scheme representing the VAT paid on annual bills. Expenditure is mainly recurring, Such as annual 8ep4ice and rnonitorlng of the roof alami, maintenan&8 of fire extinguishers and gutter & downpipe dearance. R•strict•d Funds: ints, Restora iona Develo Fund, and there were no outgoirys. .' Income was £8,829 intere8t from the CCLA CBF Dep08rt ain MAI '. Outgoings were routine maintenance of the churchyard (£1,137). Opened in 2024 from the Derek Webber twuegt. this fund h88 a set of critoria specifying its use, refleth'ng Derek's wishes. Income compris8d an anonymous donation of £1,000 and Interest of £4,427 from CCLq. There was no expendrture in 2025 t)ut it will be called upon to cover any shortfall when the final invoices are received for the major repairs to St. John's recently completed. St. John's Re air& Im ovement Fund. Income this year included grants of £11,750 towards repairs and £2,092 to cover VAT on repairs. R6s•rv•s Policy: The Charrty Commission recommends reserrfes equating to at least three months unrestricted outgoings are held to cx)ver emergency srtuatrons. which is an)und £7.800. The PCC does not, at present, have a fonnal reserves policy but in recent years has been able to keep the balance on the General (Unrestricted) Fund above this figur8. Investments '. Note 8b e15 The PCC invests the majority of ts fund balances with CCLA in the CBF Church of England Deposii Fund. Thi• i• an on-d•mand InY•8lmènt u•od by many panohoa and offera depooit f4fjiliticJ to GhurGhe3, GharltleJ and local authorities. The account has eamed £15,143 in interest during 2025. reflecting the increas8d balance and good interest rate8. Quarterly intere8t due at the end of March, June, September and December is re￿IVed on the second business day in the following month. Therefore, December's interest of £3,623 18 shown ￿ a debtor. The way fo￿ard. The PCC has agreed an 8xpenditure budget from the Unrestricted Funds of £31,763 for 2026. which is an increase of 2.25% over 2025. but now includes all expenditure from the three unrestrictad funds, including, outreach. fund raising and routine maintenance of both churches. The Parish Sharo contribution, our largest item of expenditure, increases by almost 3% to £15,723. So where does that leave us? We ended 2025 In a good posth'on. with healthy balances in the major restricted funds, destined for use a8 vie strive to repair and improvè both church buildings. The General Fund 8ti11 ha8 good level of re88rvg8 to cover unexpected expenses. There is much to thank God for, especially the regular giving of committed church members, Some of whom have recently increased their giving or have indicated their intention to do 80. As treasurer, I thank all those vtho give, whether in on8-off gifts or r8gularty, but urge you to prayerfully review your own budgets wilh a view to increasing your giving to help us maintain the reserve8 and move towards tithing our income Just lik6 your domests'c 8xp8n$&s, those of the church continuè to increase and I will be pleased to explain the needs and show you how to help us meet them, just contact me (contact details shown below).
