Section D Achievements and performance As Ihis was the charity's first reporting period following establishment, the trustees focused on laying strong foundations while delivering eaty programme activtty. 1. Estsblishment and trustse development The initial period was used by trustees and members lo familiarise themselves with Rotary operations. policies and procedures. Trustees and members attended meelings, seminars and districl-level engagements. built relatKsnships with other Rotarians, and established regular meeting rhythms to ensure effective govemance and delivery. 2. Diwali Fundraising Event A Diwali fundraising event was successfulty planned and delivered on 19 October 2024. The event was attended by members, families, and members of the wiJer community, with an audience of over 100 people. The event raised funds lo support future projects and provided an opportunity to showcase the work of the club, the wider Rolary Zone and District, and inlemational Rotsry initiatives. Feedback was highly positive. and the trustees intend for this event to become an annual activty. 3. Neonatsl Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Project- Global Grant The charity became an inlemational partner in a Rolary Foundation Global Grant supporting the establishment of a Levot 111 Neonatsl Intensive Care Unit at Civil HpItal, Satara. India. During the reporting period. the Foundation grant was successfully secured and the project progressed substantial towards completion. By the end of the period, installation and readiness Wofk was nearing completh)n. placing the hospital in a posrtion to provide lif&saving neonatal care to children who would otheise be at signrficant risk. The full outcomes and impact of thi5 project will be reported in the subsequent yearfs trustees, report. 4. Prevention of Falls Workshop The charity organised a frèe prevention of falls wrkShoP on 23 March 2025, delivered by a specialist muscurosketal physiotherapist. The workshop was attended by more than 20 participants and received very positive feedback. Attendees particulaty valued Ihe practical, hands-on guidance provided. Requests were red for further similar workshops, indicating clear comrnunty demand and benefrt. Summary ofthe main achitrvements of the charity during the year Section E Financial review The trustees aim to maintain SeNeS sufficient to meet the charrty's known annual running costs plus a prudent contingency of approximatety len per cent. This approach reflects the charity's eaty slage of development and the absence of long-tenn financial commrtments beyond routine operating costs.
