Activities

Bios Centre researches bioethical issues and critically examines current practices in health care. Our research aims to provide a coherent set of resources to help health care professionals and others to explore the various approaches to medical ethics and bioethics. We produce academic and popular publications and provide seminars and lectures at a tertiary, professional and more general level.

Objects: The Charity's Objects ("Objects") Are Specifically Restricted To The Following:“to Promote Research And Education In Bioethics For The Public Benefit Including Without Limitation By Conducting Or Supporting The Development Of Research Which Leads To The Publication Of Peer Reviewed Articles And Other Materials Of An Educational Nature And By Convening Gatherings Of Researchers And Other Educationalists To Review, Discuss And Critique Research And Discourse In The Field Of Bioethics, Including Consideration Where Appropriate Of The Interplay Between Core Principles Of Hippocratic Thought And Other Relevant Ethical Principles Applicable In Contemporary Bioethical Contexts"
