Summary of Activities This Year:

Financial Review:

During the charity’s first financial period, from 19 June 2024 to 5 April 2025, One Voice (Cornwall) received a total income of £16,301.21 .

Income was generated from the following activities:

The charity participated in a new fundraising activity during the year, attending a Ladies Day rugby match at the Cornwall Pirates. Choir members

raised funds through the auction of player-worn rugby shirts, generating £6,367.00 for the charity.

The total income of £16,301.21 , together with an opening balance of £3,698.10 , was used to meet the charity’s liabilities. These included outstanding costs relating to the 2023 and 2024 Gala events , and a one-off professional fee of £5,107.43 paid to Tibbsy Communications for the development of the charity’s website and marketing materials. This was a non-recurring cost and will not be incurred in future years.

During the year, the Trustees also approved an ex-gratia payment in recognition of the significant voluntary contribution made by the choir director across the 2023 and 2024 years. The Trustees formally recorded in meeting minutes that the choir director has contributed substantial unpaid time and effort to the operation and development of the choirs and the charity. The Trustees considered this payment to be appropriate and in the best interests of the charity.

In this first year of incorporation, the Trustees focused on establishing the charity’s structure, supporting the formation of new choirs, and delivering the charity’s core objective of improving mental health through singing. While no grants or donations were made to other charities during this accounting period, the Trustees plan to make such donations in the coming months.

The charity has gathered evidence demonstrating the positive impact of choir participation on the mental health and wellbeing of its members, and this will continue to guide the charity’s activities going forward.
