Notes

1 Accounting Policies

1.1 Basis of preparation

The accounts are prepared on a CASH basis.

The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice, “Accounting and Reporting by Charities.”

All registered charities must prepare annual accounts and a Trustees' Annual Report. For financial years ending on or before 31 March 2025, those charities with a gross income which exceeds £10,000 must file their accounts and Trustees’ Annual Report with the Commission. For financial years ending on or after 1 April 2025, this threshold is increased so that only charities whose gross income exceeds £25,000 must file their accounts and Trustees’ Annual Report with us. It is the responsibility of the trustees to prepare and file these statements although an independent examiner may help a charity prepare them.

1.2 Receipts

All incoming resources are included in the Receipts and Payment Accounts when the charity is legally entitled to the receipts and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy.

1.3 Payments

All expenditure is accounted for on a cash basis and has been included under expenses categories that aggregate all costs for allocation to activities. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular activities they have been allocated on a basis consistent with the use of the resources.

1.4 Funds

General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated for other purposes.

Restricted funds are those funds which are to be used in accordance with specific restrictions imposed by donors which have been raised by the charity for particular purposes. The cost of raising and administering such funds are charged against the specific fund.

1.5 Status

St Quintin Park Residents Association is a registered charity with the Charity Commission.

Trustees Report

St Quintin Park Residents Association CIO - ASSOCIATION Registered 18 Jun 2024

Charitable objects

  1. To promote the welfare of the residents of St Quintin’s Park, North Kensington, and the surrounding neighbourhood (the area of benefit) without discrimination based on sex, political, religious, or other beliefs. In pursuit of these aims, and not otherwise, the trustees may establish or facilitate the establishment of a community centre, and may maintain, manage, or collaborate with any statutory authority for its upkeep and administration to support charitable activities aligned with these objectives.

  2. To relieve need arising from youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other social or economic disadvantage within St Quintin’s Park, North Kensington, and its neighbourhood, for the public benefit, through the provision of community advocacy and support services.

Charitable activities for the year

  1. Monthly tea parties
