SCAN aims to help all of us take into account how our everyday decisions and actions impact our environment and our future in areas such as bio-diversity, energy, transport, waste, recycling/repurposing, food and wellness. We focus mostly in Saltdean and surrounding areas but reaching out more widely where appropriate.

Objects: (1) The Protection And Preservation Of The Environment For The Public Benefit In Particular But Not Exclusively By The Promotion Of Waste Reduction, Re-Use Reclamation, Recycling, Use Of Recycled Products And The Use Of Surplus Materials.(2) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment By Promoting Biological Diversity.(3) To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment.
