Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	The aim of the Club is to save lives whether by preven6on or by rescue from beach, sea or water. In furtherance of such aims the Club will; Promote the water safety aspects of all beach and water borne activates. Develop and promote beach and water lifesaving methods including resuscitation and frst aid in all aspects and including the use, development and improvement of life saving equipment. Promote the club within the local community. To ofer coaching and competitive opportunities in the name of surf lifesaving and surf lifesaving sport. Comply with the basic patrol, uniform and marker requirements as issued by the Board of Examiners of the Surf Life Saving Association of Great Britain. Work in the closest possible manner with all other bodies and organisations whose work is conductive to the aim of the club. To ensure a duty of care to all members of the club. Safeguard all young members through our child protection policies. Normally operate at Watergate Bay beach in Newquay, Cornwall. To communicate regularly with members by mee6ngs, telephone or by email or other internet facility.

Para 1.17 and 1.19	- Training and Development - Promoting water safety awareness and practices. - Develop surf lifesaving skills within the community. - Provide coaching and competitive opportunities in the sport of surf lifesaving.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	We have increased out numbers in the Nipper section of the club and also introduced a sand hopper group, children aged 5-7, which will feed the club as they get older and progress forward. Our Youth section has also begun to grow with the same process of the Nippers feeding the group for it to expand. Our adult volunteer numbers have grown with the majority holding recognised SLSGB qualifcations in coaching and/or water safety or are in the process of obtaining the qualifcation. We have increased our presence at regional and national competitions. We have begun to work with SLSGB to be able to deliver Splash School programmes to local school children who would otherwise not have access to or be involves in surf lifesaving activities.
