Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

The object of the CIO is to raise funds, solely for the development of Ferrers Field Play and sports area within the village of Yoxall, for the benefit of all members of the community. The objective for this year was to fundraise and acquire grants to install an all-weather path, suitable for the entire community to exercise on socialise and to promote mental health and wellbeing.

We have obtained grants from the following: ESBC (East Staffordshire Borough Council), British Gypsum, Sport England, National Lottery, Crowdfunder and local fundraising events such as village fete, quiz night and a number of bake sales.

Brief statement of the

charity’s policy on reserves

As a group our long-term plan, following the successful installation of the path was to utilise the reserved funds for further development of the field by installing new play equipment for children aged 7 – 14 to promote outdoor play, exercise and social and mental wellbeing. Towards the end of March we received a grant from the National Lottery for £20,000 which was stipulated to be used towards a new swing set and piece of climbing apparatus. Ferrers Field Development Group endeavour to use these funds by Summer 2025.

It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act, to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act, and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given examiner's statement by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair, view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
