Activities

The principal objectives of the Charity are to promote education in the Arts anywhere in the world for the public benefit, including without limitation by promoting education in the music for and playing of the Viola by competing, developing excellence in technical skill, embracing new music and forming links with other educational organisations.

Objects: The Objects Of The Charity Are: 5.1 To Promote Education In The Arts Anywhere In The World For The Public Benefit, Including, Without Limitation, By Promoting Education In The Music For And Playing Of The Viola By:(i) Assisting Young Musicians Of Sufficiently Outstanding Merit By The Award Of Monetary Prizes, Medallions And Diplomas And To Arrange Engagements And Invitations For Such Young Musicians To Give Public Performances And/or Recitals;(ii) Encouraging And Developing Excellence In The Technical Skills And Musicianship Required For The Performance Of Music By Organising Masterclasses, Workshops, Conferences, Educational Or Training Courses, Seminars, Lectures Or Classes Of Any Kind Either Alone Or With Others In Order To Share Expertise And New Ideas In Performance Pedagogy;(iii) Encouraging The Composition Of New Music And Musical Arrangements For The Viola And Other Musical Instruments.(iv) Promoting And Encouraging Research Into, And The Design And Making Of Violas.5.2 In This Article "young Musician" Means Any Musician Aged Thirty Years And Under.
