Woodseats Community Garden CIO has leased an undeveloped piece of land and is in the process of making into an area for community use. The garden provides an area of calm and relaxation, promoting wellness. It also hosts community events and educational classes in art, movement and horticulture, and can also be used as a venue for events such as weddings and children's parties.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are1. To Provide Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation By Providing An Area For Use As A Community Garden And Other Activities For Individuals In Norton Woodseats And The Surrounding Area, Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants.2. To Advance Education For The Public Benefit In Particular By Providing Opportunities For Learning About Nature, Horticulture, The Environment, And Connections To Healthy Living And Eating, Through The Community Garden.3. To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Of The Community Garden And Surrounding Natural Areas By Enhancing Biodiversity.
