Achievements and Performance
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | We focus on improving through education for children in our care. The children we provide Welsh education for is based in Porth which is deemed as a deprived area. We offer a wide range of experiences through the medium of Welsh for children and supporting those who are non-Welsh speaking. By giving these children, the advantage of learning a second language, will greatly increase their chances of employment into adulthood. Providing education in Welsh in pre-school years is the most effective method of introduction. We work alongside local authorities to provide training for staff to uphold standards required by CIW, ESTYN and NMS to provide a quality provision, enabling us to provide early intervention in place for individual children. With qualified staff, we can identify areas of needs through observations, assessments and planning activities which supports children’s progress, with additional individual support for targeted children who are referred to us by local authorities. |
