Achievements and performance

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 We are proud of the efforts of all our
members and volunteers who have all
worked very hard. Thanks to them, the
charity has delivered over 6400 hours of
physical activity through boxing training
to its 123 members plus guests in its first
year as a charity. This was delivered by
our 8 England Boxing qualified coaches.
We hosted our second show where 10 of
our boxers had the opportunity to
compete in front of a sold-out home
crowd of 400 friends and family.
We delivered over 40 hours of boxing
activities to school children on behalf of
the half term activities and food program
with BANES council.
During the year, our members had a lot of
opportunities to compete. We had 6
regional champions, 1 national champion
and 1 national runner up from our club. 4
of our members took part in international
sparring and training trips to Poland and
Czech Republic. The club achieved
another milestone with our first entry into
an international competition, where our
boxer won the Golden Girl box cup in
Sweden.
Across all those who train with us, we
see increased confidence, raised self-
esteem and improved work ethic on top
of the physical fitness and mental health
benefits boxing training provides. Our
members have built friendships, enjoy
socialising outside of the gym, and 1
member credited training with us as
being fundamental to finding
employment.
