Stenalees Bowling Club provides lawn bowls facilities for members, visiting teams and non members. The club has 3 mens league teams and 1 ladies league team as well as providing facilities for other competitions for members to play in. The club also hosts weekly bowls clubs and open sessions for non members to play bowls. |

Para 1.20 | Stenalees Bowling Club had a positive year in 2023/24 on and off the bowls green. The clubs membership numbers increased, primarily through the club holding weekly open events for anyone to come and try bowls which proved very successful. The club also advanced its facilities improvement ambitions by securing planning permission to extend the size of the bowls green and also to erect a new clubhouse both of which will bring increased benefits to the surrounding communities. All members benefited from many games which continues to contribute to both physical and mental health alongside providing broader benefits to individuals and the broader community through increased engagement. |

Para 1.21 | The clubs 2023/24 financial year saw an expenditure over income deficit of £10,635.35. This was largely due to a total payment of £10,248 to our facilities improvement partner South West Community Builds with these funds being 100% funded by a grant received in 2022/23. Our closing bank balance was £14,417.15 with the club voting to increase membership fees for the 2024/25 year to ensure that the club was running on a sustainable footing. |
