Para 1.20 Inspired by the opportunity to perform
in a professional setting with high
standard lighting, sound, stage and
seating, a local storyteller/poet
developed a series of tales which he
performed to a sell-out audience of
appreciative residents.
A well-renowned Cornish theatre group
put on a sell-out show.
For both shows, some audience
members had never been to any such
performance previously, partly due to
cost and partly due to feeling
uncomfortable in a large theatre setting.
The ease of access, affordable ticket
rates and low-key venue opened up the
performing arts to these residents.
