Structure, governance and management

The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by its constitution and the Charities Act 2011. The trustees are responsible for the overall management and direction of the charity.

Trustees are appointed in accordance with the charity’s constitution. The board meets as required to oversee the charity’s activities and finances. Trustees are aware of their responsibilities under charity law and have acted in accordance with the Charity Commission’s guidance.

During the year, the trustees have undertaken the following activities to further these objects:

Public benefit statement

The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The trustees believe that the charity’s activities during the year provided public benefit by supporting the provision of emergency medical equipment and resources intended to improve the capacity of healthcare services in rural areas of Nepal, thereby contributing to improved patient outcomes in resource-limited settings.

Achievements and performance

During the year, the charity focused on maintaining its activities at a small scale while continuing to pursue its charitable purposes.

The trustees are satisfied that, despite limited income, the charity made meaningful progress towards its objectives and operated effectively inline with its governing document.

Financial review
