121 Mentoring The aim of this service is to provide emotional support, set meaningful goals, and guide children and young people towards realising their full potential, while helping them view themselves in a more positive light. Children and young people referred to this service may need support in learning practical strategies and skills to self-regulate their emotions, behaviours, and reactions, as well as to better understand the cycle of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Our mentors focus on nurturing the exploration of new interests and talents, encouraging personal growth and self- confidence. By offering tailored support, we aim to empower children and young people to build resilience, improve emotional well- being, and develop the skills they need to succeed in all areas of their lives. Anxiety Management Programme Our 10-session Anxiety Management Programme is designed for children and young people between the ages of 7 and 17, with a focus on addressing the individual needs of each participant. The aim of the service is to equip children and young people with practical skills and techniques to help manage their anxiety, while also fostering independence and building confidence. The programme is based on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model and incorporates the Cool Kids Programme, which breaks anxiety down into three key components: 1.Body/Physical– Understanding the physical symptoms of anxiety. 2.Thoughts/Cognitions– Identifying and challenging anxious thoughts. 3.Actions/Behaviour– Learning how to manage and change behaviours triggered by anxiety. |

|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | During the reporting period, the charity delivered mentoring support and anxiety management services to children and young people in Tonbridge, Kent. These services supported beneficiaries in developing emotional regulation skills and practical coping strategies to manage anxiety and related challenges. The charity also provided emotional support to parents, who often experience feelings of judgement and isolation, enabling them to better understand their children’s needs and to explore effective strategies to support their children’s wellbeing. The Trustees consider these activities to have delivered clear public benefit within the local community by improving emotional resilience and strengthening family support systems. The charity’s support services have continued to adapt in response to the evolving needs of the families we serve. This has included providing practical assistance to parents in completing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) assessment applications, supporting them to access appropriate resources, understand complex terminology, and identify key areas relevant to their child’s needs. The charity has exceeded the initial targets set out in its first-year strategic plan (years 1–3), reflecting both the significant level of need in the local community and the positive impact of its work. Since 2024, the charityhas delivered over 1,875 hours of |

direct support to children, young people, and parents, reaching more than 200 beneficiaries. Through its services, the charity promotes the wellbeing and emotional resilience of children and young people, and provides parents with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support their children effectively. The Trustees are satisfied that these activities provide clear public benefit by improving individual and family outcomes and strengthening support networks within the community. The charity is committed to reflective practice, regularly evaluating and improving its support services based on both verbal and written feedback from beneficiaries. We are proud to report that all families supported by our service provided positive feedback. Anonymous feedback consistently highlighted the highly personalised nature of the support, with families noting how it was carefully tailored to reflect each child’s individual needs, circumstances, and lived experiences. This feedback demonstrates the profound and positive impact of our work, while also underscoring the clear and ongoing need for this type of support within the local community. The charity has developed strong and positive working relationships with local organisations, support services, and schools, enabling effective collaboration to reach children, young people, and parents. These partnerships have enhanced our ability to provide comprehensive support, ensuring that families can access the resources and assistance they need. Through this collaborative approach, the charity can extend its impact and contribute to creating a more supportive and inclusive community for those who benefit from our services.

| Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | During our second year, the charity successfully surpassed its fundraising objectives, thanks to the generous support of local organisations and individuals. A successful application to the National Lottery Community Fund for our_Equip,_ _Empower, Thrive_mentoring project secured vital funding. This enabled more children and young people to access our mentoring programme, helping us meet increased demand and extend our reach within the community. Funding from the West Kent Provincial Charity Fund enabled the purchase of two air heaters, improving the comfort and usability of our spaces, alongside essential sensory and fidget resources to support children’s regulation and engagement. A grant from the Kent Community Foundation made it possible to deliver our children’s support programme, while contributions from the Tonbridge Lions provided high- quality craft and art materials that encouraged creativity and self-expression. We received unrestricted funding from the Albert Hunt Foundation, which gave us the flexibility to respond directly to the needs of children and families through the purchase of essential items. This support also enabled us to cover core operatingcosts |

In addition, personal donations from community members and local businesses provided vital support, helping us to continue delivering services to children and families. Financial Review

|---|---|---|
| Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period |
Para 1.21 | Total incoming resources for the financial year amounted to £12,343, representing a 337.5% increase on the previous year. This growth was driven by a successful application to the National Lottery Community Fund to deliver our mentoring project ‘Equip, Empower, Thrive’. Total expenditure for the year was £6,034, with 100% of funds spent directly on the delivery and running of our support services, supporting the families we work with, and providing access to our support programmes. |
| Statement explaining the policy for holding reserves stating why they are held |
Para 1.22 | Thrive EIS aims to maintain a general reserve of unrestricted funds sufficient to meet its financial, legal and moral obligations to its service users. This Reserves Policy has been developed in line with Charity Commission guidance (CC19) and exists for four principal reasons: 1.To support trustee decision-making and risk management 2. To establish arrangements for monitoring and review 3. To ensure compliance and transparency 4. To support fundraising and stakeholder confidence |

| Explanation of any uncertainties about the charity continuing as a going concern |
Para 1.23 | The trustees have assessed the charity’s ability to continue as a going concern. At the time of approving the financial statements, the charity holds sufficient unrestricted reserves to cover the cost of all materials required for its support services for at least 12 months. |

Furthermore, the charity has secured volunteer commitments to ensure service delivery throughout this period. Consequently, the trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future and continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing these financial statements. We continue to seek a mix of grant opportunities and donations to ensure a steady flow of resources, allowing us to maintain our services and continue to build our unrestricted reserves for future needs.

Para 1.25 | Charitable Incorporated Organisation |
| Trustee selection methods including details of any constitutional provisions e.g. election to post or name of any person or body entitled to appoint one or more trustees |
Para 1.25 | When appointing our founding trustees, careful consideration was given to the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary for the effective administration of the CIO, and a trustee skills audit was used to guide the selection process. The founding trustees, appointed in November 2024, were given lifetime appointments. During the first year of operation, no new trustees have been appointed. When the time comes to appoint a new trustee, they will be appointed through a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. To ensure the selection aligns with the needs of the organisation, we will utilise a Trustee Skills Audit to assess the skills, knowledge, and experience required for effective governance. In addition to our trustee board, we have a Council of References, which provides professional and independent expertise. This council plays a vital role in informing and strengthening our mission to support children, young people, and families, ensuring our work is guided by valuable experience and knowledge. |
