It was constituted on 6 November 2023. under the Foundation model, with a principal off ice in Eng1td. The Constitution document sets out the details of the Charity. Over the ye¢w. one Trustee resigned <md two new trustees were appointed, following a request for interest tmd an appointment process in line with the Constitution of the Charity. The appointment of future Trustees is set out within the Constitution. Secretary: M Whitehead 8ankers: Co-op Bank Objects: The objects of the Charity set out in the Constitution are: (i) To promote for the benef it of the public the conservation protection and improvement of the physical and naturol environment of Kinsbourne Green Common by promoting bio109ical diversity.
(ii)To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuols who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, inf irmity or disability, f inancial hardship or social circumstimces with the object of improving their conditions of life. Obj¢ctiv¢s. activities and achievements over the period: The key objectives over the period were to.. (i) Evolve and monitor a plan to m¢]nage on an oThJoing basis the Common in accordonce with the Objects of the Charity (li) Maintain a sound f inancial position The Trustees actively achieved these objectives over the period. In doin9 $0. the Trustees continue to secure the future of the Common for the benef it of the local community and wider public. maintain and enhance its environmental health and diversity. (md maintain a much loved recreational space. This f inancial year was the f irst full 12 months of operation for the charity, having tompleted on the purchase of the land in February 2024. This made it an exceptional year for operations ond spending as we took stock of the state of the land, surveyed f lora, fauna ld trees and erected signage that named the charity as the owner. Key activities and spend included.. Tree survey and subsequent tree surgery - £8365 Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust - f lora and fauno survey - £2351 Insurance - £1206 Information board - £1055 We do rt anticipate that future ye¢ws will incur the same level of spend. as much of these were one-off events. In carryirrfj out these activities, the Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benef it. Financial Review At the end of the period (30 June 2025), in holdiry reserves of over £39,000 the trustees believed that they had suff icient reserves to maintain the Common for the time beihg. Ideally the Trustees would wish to hold reserves suff icient to maintain the Common for at least three years. As such, at the end of the period, the Trustees had no concerns about the charity ceasing to be a 90ing concern. Over the period. the Trustees received approximately £3.iJXI in grants and donations.
