This f inancial year was the f irst full 12 months of operation for the charity, having
tompleted on the purchase of the land in February 2024. This made it an exceptional
year for operations ond spending as we took stock of the state of the land, surveyed
f lora, fauna l￿d trees and erected signage that named the charity as the owner.
Key activities and spend included..
Tree survey and subsequent tree surgery - £8365
Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust - f lora and fauno survey - £2351
Insurance - £1206
Information board - £1055
We do r￿t anticipate that future ye¢ws will incur the same level of spend. as much of
these were one-off events. In carryirrfj out these activities, the Trustees have had
regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benef it.
Financial Review
At the end of the period (30 June 2025), in holdiry reserves of over £39,000 the
trustees believed that they had suff icient reserves to maintain the Common for the
time beihg. Ideally the Trustees would wish to hold reserves suff icient to maintain the
Common for at least three years. As such, at the end of the period, the Trustees had
no concerns about the charity ceasing to be a 90ing concern.
Over the period. the Trustees received approximately £3.iJXI in grants and donations.
