Friends of Bidborough was established with the charitable purpose of enhancing the local recreation facilities for the benefit of the community of Bidborough and surrounding areas, with a particular focus on the development of a new village play park. The objective was to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging space where children of all ages and abilities can play, explore, and connect with others, while also offering a welcoming area for families to gather and enjoy outdoor activities. Summary of the maln activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include wlthln thls section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guldance issued by the Charlty Commission on public benefit) During the reporting period, the charity undertook a number of fundraising and community focused initiatives to support this goal, including: Hosting village events such as a Ceilidh & family fun days. Applying for relevant grants and liaising with local authorities on site planning and development; Conducting community consultations to gather feedback on design features and accessibility needs. The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in planning and delivering these activities. They are satisfied that the charity's work to improve recreational opportunities for children and families in Bidborough clearly serves a public benefit and aligns with its charitable objectives.
