Friends of Bidborough was established with the charitable
purpose of enhancing the local recreation facilities for the benefit
of the community of Bidborough and surrounding areas, with a
particular focus on the development of a new village play park.
The objective was to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging space
where children of all ages and abilities can play, explore, and
connect with others, while also offering a welcoming area for
families to gather and enjoy outdoor activities.

During the reporting period, the charity undertook a number of
fundraising and community focused initiatives to support this goal,

Hosting village events such as a Ceilidh & family fun days.
Applying for relevant grants and liaising with local
authorities on site planning and development;
Conducting community consultations to gather feedback
on design features and accessibility needs.
The trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission's
guidance on public benefit in planning and delivering these
activities. They are satisfied that the charity's work to improve
recreational opportunities for children and families in Bidborough
clearly serves a public benefit and aligns with its charitable
objectives.

In April 2024, we proudly opened a brand new play area, providing
a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for children and families in
Bidborough. This new facility has quickly become a valued local
resource, supporting physical activity, social interaction, and overall
well-being for young people.

Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the requirements of the charit￿s Act 2011 {'the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under s. 145 of the 2011 Act and in
carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under s. 145(5){b) of the Act.

I have completed my examinabon. I confirm Ihat no material matters have come to my attention in connection
with the examination giving me cause to telieve that in any material resFeCt.'
