1 Introduction:
-
1.1 There is a requirement for the Trustees to present an annual report to the Annual Meeting.
-
1.2 As the confirmation of approval as a registered charity was not received till October 2023, this year’s report refers up to August 31[st] 2024, and so is a part-year report.
-
2 Discussion:
-
2.1 The chapel is affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).
-
2.2 As required the Church Handbook and Constitution have been approved and are readily available.
-
2.3 The membership of the chapel consists of seven members and 4 associate members.
-
2.4 The trustees have formally met in this part- year on two occasions, (25.3.24 & 1.7.24).
-
2.5 The approval of policy and management of the chapel business is also undertaken at Chapel business meetings, of which two have been held during the year, (4.10.23 & 12.3.24).
-
2.6 The chapel’s charitable purposes have been fulfilled through the organisation of weekly public worship and study, inviting the local community to seasonal and social events, and co-working with other chapels within the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches (FIEC).
-
2.7 The chapel has been able to meet its aims in supporting other Christian charities. Six are supported both by donations and the organising of support meetings. -
2.9 The financial practices adopted are in accordance with those required of a registered charity
-
