The main activities are as follows: • pro bono event • a programme of cultural oriented events and activities These activities benefit the UK-Filipino people by gaining education on legal guidance’s as well as preservation of arts, culture and heritage. We welcome all people regardless of personal background, gender or personal circumstances. |

Para 1.20 | Apr 26-28, 2024- Pro bono Newcastle Pro bono event - 100 attendees with different age groups have successfully received free of charge legal advice from UK Filipino solicitors and barrister as follows : • Financial & Retirement Planning • Will writing and probate • Employment issues • Immigration rules update June 04, 2024 Summer Charity Ball The charity conducted our annual cultural fundraising event. A total of 200 attendees experienced performances, food and imagery, as shown in our traditional clothes and exhibits, have provided the awareness, education, and preservation of the Filipino culture. The proceeds of this fundraising event are to fund our various projects. Jan 28-30, 2025 and Feb 04, 2025 Medical Mission The charity conducted medical mission in the Philippines that provided a total of 6,467 beneficiaries. Services procided were: • General check up • Free medicines • Random blood sugar testing • ECG • Tooth extraction, oral health education, & free dental kit • Cervical cancer screening • Reading glasses |

(b) No individual may be appointed as a charity trustee of the CIO: • if he or she is under the age of 16 years; or • if he or she would automatically cease to hold office under the provisions of clause [12(1)(e)]. (c) No one is entitled to act as a charity trustee whether on appointment or on any re-appointment until he or she has expressly acknowledged, in whatever way the charity trustees decide, his or her acceptance of the office of charity trustee. (d) At least one of the trustees of the CIO must be 18 years of age or over. If there is no trustee aged at least 18 years, the remaining trustees may only act to call a meeting of the charity trustees, or appoint a new charity trustee. Appointment of Trustees: Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of two (2) years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. (2)In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO. |
