In accordance with its charitable objectives, CHAMP1 UK has continued to support individuals and families affected by CHAMP1-related disorders by providing information, advocacy, and a supportive community.

Over the past year, CHAMP1 UK has undertaken the following key activities for public benefit:

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Support and Community Building: Welcoming new families, arranging family meet-ups, and facilitating connections through support groups. A major activity this year involved helping to arrange and facilitate the CHAMP1 global conference in collaboration with other CHAMP1 nonprofits from the US and EU.

Raising Awareness: Engaging in awareness campaigns, specifically orchestrating CHAMP1 Awareness Day (March 20th), to improve diagnosis and public understanding.

Research and Advocacy: Gathering information to help progress scientific research by collaborating closely with families, researchers, and our partner CHAMP1 non-profits globally.

Fundraising Initiatives: Continuing dedicated fundraising efforts and actively supporting individuals in the community who wish to fundraise for the charity.

The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity's aims and objectives and in planning its activities.
