1. Objectives and Activities
We run a community garden and allotments. We rent allotment plots to local tenants and maintain a community garden for use by the public, including running events to fund ongoing maintenance.
This year we:

Received money from 3 grants from Wychavon District Council, Worcestershire County Council and Rous Lench Parish Council which we used to develop and improve the Community Garden, installing a Community Shed, a compost toilet, play equipment and water pump.

We ran two events this year: an opening event in May 2025 and a Big Lunch over the summer, both of which were well attended by residents and local villagers, engaging our local community and bringing people together.
2. Achievements and Performance
This year we have:

Improved footfall by 200% to the Community Garden through our events and encouraging individuals and families to use the Garden as a community resource

- Volunteers gave an estimated 100 hours of their time to maintenance, event preparation and admin support

Feedback from residents post our opening event in May 2024 showed that 98% of respondents and residents felt positive about the garden.

We have implemented 95% of the planned improvements to the Community Garden

Allotments are now fully tenanted with a waiting list.
3. Financial Review
Income: £17,119 (grants, donations, events and allotment plot rent)
Expenditure: £12668 (bought assets with grant money, groundworks, insurance, land rent)
Unbanked Cash: £946
Reserves: £3505.84 carried forward
The trustees are satisfied with the charity’s financial position and have adopted a simple reserves policy to maintain at least £500 to cover core costs.
4. Plans for the Coming Year

We intend to complete the implementation of the grant funded items which are scheduled for completion by February 2025.

We intend to run at least two fundraising and community events in 2025 to raise awareness of the Community Garden

We want to promote our ‘Friends of the Garden’ programme to increase donations
5. Structure, Governance and Management
The Charity is governed by a constitution adopted in 2023. Trustees are elected annually by Trustees at the AGM. No paid staff are employed.
