The charity was able lo raise a reasonable income from fundraising lo allow for donations and grants to be made lo local community groups and charities tolalling £996, this is under-reflective of the donations applicable lo the period as multiple payments were made aftei the year end due to the cycling event taking place mid-summer. just before the financial period end dale. Outside the scope of any financial impact, the charity has also undertaken a role in assisting the community which cannot so easily be measured. In the year the charity carried out various food bank collections. these resulted in thousands of donated items with the dates of the collections being in key times of year, e.g. Christmas. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial posilion at the end of Ihe peTiod Para 1.21 The charity was deemed to be in a good finanaal position at the end of the financial period wth £1,114 held as unrestricted fvnds and £3,114 restricted. The unrestricted funds were held as a buffer for emergency donations required in the new finanaal period and the restricted funds were held due to a timing differen￿ where the donations were to be made post the period end, a reasonable figure was then held bad( to allow for continued operations in the followin ear.
