This is on a self- employed basis which may need to change to employed along with increasingJ the workforce on an employed basis as the progJramme grows. From a risk perspective this would be better for the charity as other people would be abl¢ to step up if anything was to happen to DT. Appointmenls - The Board have appointed Sarah Kei)nedy as administrator, part of her role will be to organisL and attLnd board meetings. Risks - A few risks facing the eharity were identified: l. RS is vulnerable to coacheslmentors leavingJ so some issues could arise in the short-term whilst r¢placements were found. 2. If DT decided lo step down as CFO what would be the impliealions of this. The Board needs to have a plan in place that could b¢ implemented quickly to avoid compromising the RS programme. 3. If the Charity had acted unprofcssionally in the event where a child was harm¢d. It was suggjested that there should be ongFoingJ training for all staff to prevent this from happening. The Charity ha5 grown it5 reach over this period and by March 2024 was working with 30 schools in the County and supporting around 140 children on a weekly basis and a total of 400 children in the whole period. In addition, when we consider the total reach of the programme (including parents, carers, teachers, additional associated 5tudentsl, then the total reach of the programme is over 2,000 in this period. Para 1.20 Over this period the programme Redgate Sports offers has broadened with the growth of holiday camps, after School clubs, and delivery to children out of education. By March 2024 it feels we have a well defined offer which meets the needs of the target audience. The programme is well placed to scale- as long as there are the back office resources and systems to manage that growth. In terms of impact we have positive sign5 from the data we have recorded and from the testimonies we have received. However, it should be noted that this is an area we need to do more of in future years= 100% of the students said that they enjoyed being part of the programme 90¥0 of the students said that they felt more active than they were before Ithose answering no to this question tended to say that they felt they wele already very activel 95% of students said that the programme has helped them progress towards their goa15 in sport 68% of students said that the programme has helped them more widely (outside of sport eg. Dan Thorp was appointed CEO at the point that the Charity was fomied and he has continued in that role. The Redgate Sports workforce During this period the self-employed oachlmentor workforce has grown. As noted in the rlsk section of this report and issue for the charity to consider is that as the scale of the programme increases it is not sensible to have all the work sitting with 1 person. As w8 grow to a sustainable position we need to think about increasing the internal workforce and raising the appropriate funds to achievo this.
