Main Activities and Background The Group started its activities in March 2021 and then registered as a CIO with the Charities Commission on 23 August 2023. This Annual Report relates to the second period of activity to 31 December 2025. The Boston Spa, Wetherby & Villages Green Group was set up with three objectives= l. To reduce our carbon emissions 2. To increase biodiversity 3. To reduce waste and increase recycling in our community Our aiffl is to help the environment in our local area, but hopefully other areas can benefit from some of our ideas. We have set up 3 community action Eroups to focus on specific areas, namely.. Protecting and increasing Tree Cover, and creating Wildlife Corridors Big Bike Fix Education & Collaboration Summary of main achievements in the period O Helping people save energy and money. Supporting Yorkshire businesses and creating local green jobs. O Planted over 400 trees in our local communitv. Fixed and donated over 1,000 bikes since starting as part of our Big Bike Fix. Working to improve our natural riverside environment. Natural hedge creation, developing orchards, riverside improvements and new educational signage. All with the objective of helping biodiversity, slowing rainfall runoff and prevent flooding. O Worked with local schools to help them with the STEM Learning. Engaged with the wider community. To 31 December 2025 we have helped run 5 Eco Fairs in collaboration with local churches. We have also organised citizen science events such as moth trapping, bat walks and excess fruit stalls. All community volunteers. Every week, we are gethng new members joining us who would like to get involved in some aspect of protecting our local environment, reducing our carbon waste, increasing biodiversity or reducing waste. During 2026 we have been nominated for the Kings Award for Voluntary Service and await to hear further news.

Charity's Financial Position during and at the end of the period We have continued with the same activities as the preceding years, focussing on the trees and wildlife activities and the big bike fix. We ensure that any money that is received for specific purposes is allocated accordingly for example Parish Council money which has been received to assist with the Trees and Wildlife activities has been kept separate from other funds. At the end of the period there are no restricted funds being carried forward. We will continue to look to provide activities in line with our objectives and seek the necessary funds. As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 011 I'the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under s145 of the Act in carrying out me examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under S14515llbl of the Act. I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that, in any material respect- Accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act,. or The accounts do not accord with the accounting records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drdwn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
