Recruithient and appointment of Trustees The appointment of trustees Is in accordan wlth the Constitution. The Constltution states that there must be at least 3 trustees (l appointed trustee and 2 nominated trustees) and the maximum number of 9 (4 appointed tnjstee and 5 nominated trustees), Apart from the first charity trustees all trustees are appointed for a three year term by a solution passed at a properly convened m&ting of the charlty trustees. All systems and procedures are revlewed regularly to ensure they meet charity law and our own organlsations aims and objectives. OBJECTIVES AND AcrivrrIES Objects The object of the CIO Is: 'fhe provision and Maintenan of a community centre for the use of the inhabitants of Hessle and the neighbourhtsjd without distinctton of s¥ sexual orientation, race or of political, religtous or other opinions and in particular, though not exclusNely, for use of a food bank and for other fonns of recreation and leisure time occupatlon wlth the object of improvlng the conditions of life for the said inhabltsnts" Public benefit The Trustees confinn that they have complied with the duty, contained in Settion 4 of the Charities Act 2011, to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission. The charitable purpose of the tharity wthln the meaning of the att is contsined within its objects ststed above. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Revlew of the financial period The charty only started to operate late 2024 and has spent ts time to date in getting set up and plannlng futu attions. Financlal r&sults Totsl Income was £5,000 Total expenditure was £1,844. The surplus for the perlod was £3,156 Policy on reserves The charty doesnt have a reserve policy, as the charity is in tts Infancy period.

The Charity has elected to ppa its accounts the Receipts and Payments basis in line with the antieS Act 2011 which allows non<ompany tharitles with an income of le5S than £250,000 to prepare their accounts on this basis. The Trustees confirm that the accounts cc%nply with the above requirements. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ensure that the finanaal statements comply with the tharities Att 2011. They are a&0 responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hen for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detectton of fraud and other irregularities.
