Governing document
The charity was established under a constitution (foundation model) dated 10th August
2023 wa5 registered on Charity Commisslon as a ￿ari￿ble Incorporated Organisation
(CIO) on 17th August 2023.
Recruithient and appointment of Trustees
The appointment of trustees Is in accordan￿ wlth the Constitution.
The Constltution states that there must be at least 3 trustees (l appointed trustee and 2
nominated trustees) and the maximum number of 9 (4 appointed tnjstee and 5 nominated
trustees),
Apart from the first charity trustees all trustees are appointed for a three year term by a
solution passed at a properly convened m&ting of the charlty trustees.
Trustee Induction and Trainlng
New trustees are provlded Mth the Charity Commlssions 'Roles and Responslbilitles of
Trustees,, the Constitution, the latest statutory finanaal statements, Annual Report and
copies of the rnin￿es. Any additional training required by the new trustees will be
identified during Induction and may be requested & any point by ftew and existing
trustee5, where it ts considered u*ful to their role as trustee.
Organisational Strutture
The board of trustees manages the Charity and aims to consider (ynly strategic decisions at
its meetings. Trustees are aware that any conflict of interest is declared and recorded, and
the person will be wtthheld from part of the meeting and will not be able to vote on that
em, The Board holds an Annltal Open Metting every year, other than that any Charity
Trustee can request a meeting during the year.

Rlsk Management
The major risks to which the Charity is exposed, as identified by the Trustees, have been
reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate those risks. All systems and
procedures are revlewed regularly to ensure they meet charity law and our own
organlsations aims and objectives.
OBJECTIVES AND AcrivrrIES
Objects
The object of the CIO Is:
'fhe provision and Maintenan￿ of a community centre for the use of the inhabitants of
Hessle and the neighbourhtsjd without distinctton of s¥ sexual orientation, race or of
political, religtous or other opinions and in particular, though not exclusNely, for use of a
food bank and for other fonns of recreation and leisure time occupatlon wlth the object of
improvlng the conditions of life for the said inhabltsnts"
Public benefit
The Trustees confinn that they have complied with the duty, contained in Settion 4 of the
Charities Act 2011, to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the
Charity Commission. The charitable purpose of the tharity wthln the meaning of the att is
contsined within its objects ststed above.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Revlew of the financial period
The charty only started to operate late 2024 and has spent ts time to date in getting set
up and plannlng futu￿ attions.
Financlal r&sults
Totsl Income was £5,000 Total expenditure was £1,844. The surplus for the perlod was
£3,156
Policy on reserves
The charty doesnt have a reserve policy, as the charity is in tts Infancy period.

FUTURE PLANS
In 2025 we plan to continue tt) prepare fundraising materials wth a view to attractlng
funds to allow us to Improve and develop the fabric of the Cofflmunty Centre buitding In
order to bring it up to a modern standard.
ststement of Trustee's responsibilities
Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare finanaal statements for eath financial period.
The Charity has elected to p￿pa￿ its accounts ￿ the Receipts and Payments basis in line
with the ￿antieS Act 2011 which allows non<ompany tharitles with an income of le5S
than £250,000 to prepare their accounts on this basis.
The Trustees confirm that the accounts cc%nply with the above requirements. The
Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to
ensure that the finanaal statements comply with the tharities Att 2011. They are a&0
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hen￿ for taking reasonable
steps for the prevention and detectton of fraud and other irregularities.

I report on the accounts of the CharitabEe Incorporated Organisatlon for the period ended
31 January 2025 which a￿ set out on pages 7 to 9.
Responslbilities and basis of report
The chartty's trustees are responsible for the prepardtion of the accounts in accordan
with the requirements of the Charities Att 2011 C'the Att,?.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trusys accounts carried out under section 145
of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable
Direttions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent Examiners Ststement:
I have completed my examinatlon. I confirm that no materlal matters have come to my
attention in connectlon with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any
material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance wkh *ttion 130 of the Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concems and have come across no other matters In connection with the
examinatlon to which attention shoukl be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding
of the accoullts to be reached.
