The objects of the Charity are for the benefit of the public withln the parishes of Debden and Wimbish, near Saffron Walden Rn E&sex, and Iude the relief of tM)verty OT hardship by the provision and nltenance of alshouse accollun(xktion. ResidenLS of the almshouses are beneflciaries of the Charlry, no( tenants, and pay maintenance contributions. not renL Malntenance ConlbU0ns are reviewed by the ThteeS annually. The almshouses compdse four units, and thiring the year provfided housing for four pwple, one of the unfits being unoccupied pending refurbishmem, which commenced in September 2025. This major project ts being funded by a loan from The AInhouSe Associatlon, a an[ from the Searle Thist, for both of which the Thisiees wish to express their grauiude, well as the Charity's own resources. During the year, the Charity has carried out any necessary mainienance work on the other propenfies.
