Achievement5 and pertomiance 2024 South Leeds Welcome Centre have enjoyed a brilliant first year as a Charity. We have provide(I more than 15 thousand meals Ihioughoul the year to our local community. this has been done either onsite in our café or al galas and festivals. We worked al the Belle Isle Gala in Juty 2024 at the newly fomied Coopers playing fields formerly known as Hunslel Parkside playing fields. We were also present at the Hunslet Rugby Foundation annual gala hosted in August 2024 in which we ran a food 5eNice for the attendees there We have welcomed thousands of young children and adults through our doors at our Welcome Centre during 2024. working with our partners al the Hunslel Rugby Foundation and Belle Isle Senior Action of who we provide a meal service lo bolh organisalions on a weekly basis. We have hosted children's parties. social services meetings, schools. meetings and baby showers in our facilities. alongside running youth clubs and senior breakfast mornings every week with our partners Hunslel Rugby Foundation, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays respectively. We are proud of our achievements and performances of 2024 and look lo lake many positive5 into 2025, Financial revlew The nel receipts for the year were £12.752.80. consisting entirely ol unreslricled funds. No restricted funds were carried forward al year end. Reserves policy As of 30 November 2024, the charity's free reserves stood al £17,161.50, held in a eurrenl aceounl. Accounting policies Basis of accounting The Trustees have taken advantage of section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 and have prepared the accounts on a receipts and payments basis. There has been no change lo the accounting policie5 since last year. No changes have been made to the accounts for previous years. Taxation As a ChaTily the organisalion benefits from rates relief and is genefally exempl from income tax and capital gains lax bul not from VAT. Irrecoverable VAT is included in the cost of those items lo which il relates. Fund accounting Unreslricled funds are available for use al the diserelion of the Twstees in furtheran¢e of the general objectives ol the charity.
