I want to rellect on our achievements and express grattiude to eVeryOr involved, including our coxes and maintenance . whose rx)ntributions are vital to our This year, we have (*tebrated the hbghest meMbehIp levels in our history. thanks in part to the successful organisation of beginners. rowing sessions. Our junior rowets have shovm remarkable strength, wsth enough participants for three boats during training sessions. achieving notable victories at the Salcombe competibon and representing the club at national events for U14 and U16 categories. as well as at the county level. We have also expanded our flee( tHting the most boats 've ever had, and impmved our IT systems, which. despite some initial grumbling. have proven effective in enhancing club organisation and communicabon through our website arKJ the Easyteams platform. Behind the scenes, we have mataIned rigorous govemance practices. ensuring enMplian with necessary paperwork, including DBS checks. risk assessments. and petsonal injury insuranck. all of which are essential for the club's opErations. The es1ab1ishrnt of our charity has opened new opportunities for us. and we eno)ura3e everyone to support our efforts by filling out Gfft forns. Social events and fvndraising activtbes, such as our Christmas dinners and "Rock Up and Row" sessions. have fostered community spirit. Additionally. we have increased our rowing opwrtuniti"es, including occasK)nal launches from the harbour. thanks to Phil Carter. allowing wr crews more time on the vrdter. Our involvement in the racing scene has been robust, partklpallon In the winter league and a retum to events in Scilly and Newquay, as well as competing in new CPGA national categories.
