Promob'ng reuse. recycling. use of recycled products and the use of surplus scrap, and by Advancing the education of the public about waste. recycling and use of surplus or scrap Wè opened our Remade shop in Augususeptember 2023 wFth the Support of Crowngate Shopping centre and began lo sell our donated fabrics to the public on one moming a week, staffed by volunteers. By the end of June 2024, the shop had mad8 Steady progress opening up to 5 sessions a week. This has enabled the public to take up the low cost offer of fabrics ffom £2 a meter, and has also encouraged public donations of fabric and craft materials which would otherwise have gone to landfill. We have gone on to recruit further volunteers and had about 20 in place. working on a rota to process, present and sell fabrics for shows and the shop. We attended Malvem Quilt show in October and May and were able to promote our message as well as provide low cost craft fabric8 to a wide range of customers.
