Activities
A men's shed is a community-based, non-commercial organisation that is open to men. Men's sheds provide a place where men can feel included and safe. The aim of men's sheds is to improve the health and wellbeing of their members. We are located in Bexhill-on-Sea on the south coast and are open to all on Wednesday & Thursday whilst preserving Monday & Tuesday for men.
Objects: To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People, Particularly, But Not Exclusively, Older Men, Within Bexhill And The Surrounding Area, From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society Through The Provision Of Facilities In Which They Can Meet Jointly Or Individually To Undertake Creative, Social And Recreational Activities, Learn Or Pass On Skills And Knowledge And Support Each Other Socially. For The Purpose Of This Clause 'Socially Excluded' Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Of More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Financial Hardship; Youth Or Old Age; Ill Health (Physical Or Mental).nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] And [Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008]
