To promote for the benefit of the residents of Boyton Parish Suffolk, and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time activities, or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the quality of life of Boyton residents.

Planned and carried out a number of fundraising events in the village hall during the year:

Homemade & Handmade (featuring local crafts and fair trade products sourced by Maison Bengal which is based in Boyton)

What is Sanskrit? (talk by world expert and Boyton resident Peter Khoroche)

Treasure Hunt (village event for families)

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Received a startup grant from Boyton Parish Council of £4,000 plus donations from residents of £895
-
Broadened the scope of village hall activities especially through the launch of amateur dramatics which encouraged local participation and support of the Christmas pantomime and murder mystery play

Encouraged participation of residents in activities such as Homemade and Handmade, and the Treasure Hunt
-
Held village open meeting for residents to input ideas and suggestions for village hall activities
-
Moved business bank account to Lloyds
-
Appointed part-time admin secretary to handle liaison with Charity Commission, bank and fundraisers
-
Covered first-year expenses and achieved healthy year-end bank balance
