Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are: 1)to Advance The Education Of The Public In The Contribution Made By The People From The Indian Subcontinent, The Continent Of Africa And The Caribbean Who Served In The Armed Forces Of The Crown, Whether By Land, Sea Or In The Air During The World Wars, 1914-18 And 1939-1945 And Subsequently Through The Provision Of An Educational Programme And An Annual Commemoration At The Memorial Gates In Green Park, London. 2) To Promote Good Citizenship For The Public Benefit By Making Grants Of Financial Assistance To The Royal Parks (registered Charity Number 1172042) To Assist In The Upkeep And Maintenance Of The Memorial Gates In Green Park, London.
