Aetivilie8: The Hall is used re8ularfy by many local groups includlng the table tennis club. the Ial art grwp, the toddler gr(KJp and the ]ndr bowls club. It is used to hold a monthly lunch club event for the over 55's. Local groups also use the Hall for their meetin8s includin8 the hall commit*e. the Kettlewell ScarecTOW Festival committee. the Wom.8 Institute. the Yorkshire Dales Nati1 Park and the Porish Council. The Hall hosts charity coffee mornings. monthly film nights and other events to raise funds and enhance the lives of villagers. The amiual Scarecrow Festival uses the Hall as a cafe. The Hall is also hired out by outside organisations and individuals for events including WldingS. parties and fell races. Maintenance and Upgrade8: The Hall has been upgraded Slgnificandy during the last year &8 part of (wr planned management. As result of a grant from North Yorkshire Council of £19980. all curtains have been replaced. 140 lightweight chairs have bem bw8hi to replar old very heavy steel chairs. An upttNlate audio-visual system has been installed which includes a lar8e 4.5m wide retractable screen. overhead diWi projector and speaker system. This is linked to a CD. Bluet(Tr mobile phone and HDMI input system that allows Hall users io present and play films. presentations and music. The Hall's polished timber fl(K)rs have all been sanded and re-finished. The surface finishes to the Hall entrance and bar aTea have all been Teplacejj with high quality materials. The Hall's fire alam and extin8ui$hus were checked and updated as required. Ihe Hall has commissioned minor gardening works to the front of the Hall to make it easier to mainLqin" the grounds are mainlained monthly by our gardener. The Hall is cleaned weekly and the windows are cleaned by a specialist ¢ompany Othtt fabri¢ and equipment checks are done as required by the maintenance schedule. acti$ have been taken a5 necessary.
