Landkey United Charities ReF>Ort of the Trustees for the pèriod ended 29 Febru 2024 An applitation was made to the Charity commi10 to form a Charitsble Incorporated Organisation to replace Landkey United Charities12337861. This was approved in May 2023 and the previous charity ceased operating on 31 Aygvsi 2023 and all assets and liabilities were transferred to this charity on I SÈptÈrnber 2023. The trustees present their first report and the financial statements forthe 6 months ended 29 February 2024. Annual accounts to 28 February will be presented in hjture years. Strurturei governance and management Governing Document The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisatlon wlth a constituOn approved by the Charity Commi5$10n in May 2023. Appointment und troining of trustees Trustees are appointed by existing trustees and three by Landkey Parlsh Councll. All trustees are required to complete a form. All new trustees receive a copy of the annual report and an update on the charity. OrgonAsotion The charity is administered by its printipal Officers (Chairman. Secretary and Treasurerl actin8 with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees and the Bolce of various advisory group5. All Officers are elected annually. The Board of Trustee5 meets a5 necessary but at least 3 times a year in nonnal circumstantes. Funds Fun(ts held by the Charity are elther. Restricted Fund, bein8 funds that can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects otthe charity. Restrictions arise when 5pecthed by the donor or when fvnds are raised for particular restricted purposes. Unrestricted Fund5, bein8 funds that can be used in accordance w¢th the charitsble objects at the discretion of the trustees. Landkey United Charlties Report olthe Trustee5 for the period ended 29 February 2024 Objects as stated in the Cotistitufjon The objects of Landkey United Charities, within its area of Benefit-The Parish of Landkey To relieve either generally or individually the inhabitsnts who are in conditions of need by reason of age, ill health, financial hardship or other social or economic di5advantsge and to stress through the provision of grant5.' and To relieve financial hardship by maintaining and letting cottages to poor persons of not less than 60 years of age who have resided in the parish for not less than 2 years preceding time of selection at affordable rents according to their means. Achse¥ements and performance rrustees have Set up this chartty with a more clearly defined Constitution, incorporating good practite as recommended by the Charity Commission. Trustees have contlnued to keep the assets in good repair. Trustees havè embarked on a project to bring cottsges 1-3 to an appropriate energy ratin& Trustees have established necessary policies & procedure5 which are reviewed annualty. Financial Review The Trustee5 report a surplus forthe period. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for thi5 period under section 144 of the Charities 2011 (the Charities Act? and that an independent examination ts needed.
