Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 We have provided a community facility
for 3 local villages: Breedon on the Hill,
Tonge and Wilson. To date it has been
well used for recreational, physical and
learning activities. As it is a relatively
new build, the use of the Hall is
increasing constantly and the community
appreciates what this excellent facility
provides.

Achievements against
objectives set
Para 1.41 Our main objective for the first 2 years of
operation, which culminates in July 25, is
to ensure that Breedon Parish Hall is a
going concern and offers excellent
facilities for the whole community.
We also seek to ensure that we have
policies in place, to ensure we offer a
safe environment, that is legally
compliant in every respect.
Performance of fundraising
activities against objectives
set
Para 1.41 The Trustees organised a MacMillan
Coffee Mornng to raise funds for this
excellent cancer charity. It was an
outstanding success, raising £925
including gift aid. The reason for
reporting this, is because it is likely to
that we will support one charity event on
an annual basis, as part of our objectives
Investment performance
against objectives
Para 1.41 As a relatively newly registered charity
(24 May 2023) we are concentrating on
achieving income to set up and run the
hall initially before we can adopt an
investment policy.

Reasons for holding zero

Para 1.22 Because we are a relatively new charity,
only open for business from 1 July 2023,
we are more concerned in turning a net

establish a sensible reserves policy
