To achieve this. a range of activities and initiatives have been established that focus on education, personal development, and social welfare. Educational Outings and Tralning Events One of the primary ways fing-A-Ling Youth Project fulfils its mission is by arranging outings and training events. Para 1.20 During the financial year ending 31" December2023, despite lack of adequate funding/financial resources. we were able to empower several youths within our target communities and/or regions. Our activities enabled the youth to discover and develop their talents and abilities and skills. Our meetings and events fijrther provided opportunities for youth to bond and have fun. The Trips, outing and training events {like visits to allotment sites) have enabled young people to learn more and understand appreciate their physical and social environment they live in and the range of opportunities that are available for them to choose from as they gradually transition to adulthood. Moreover, It has also provided for the youth's opportunity to interact with each and other people from diverse background thus promoting social cohesion. Recreational and Leisure activities for young had several benefits for the community including: i. Helping reduce juvenile dellnquency and anti-social behaviour among the youth il. Helped develop motor skills while promoting physical health among the youth iii. Promoted social interaction among the youth and helps them develop friendships thus promoting inclusivity N. Provision of educational facilities to under*quipped schools and needy children in targeted countries in Africa has helped improve their academic performan￿. Additional infonnation (optional) You ma choose to include further statements where relevant about: Achievements against Due to inadequate financial resources, our objectives set charitsble activities had only a limited impact as we are not able to reach the wider community within our target communities. Most of objectives were achieved but only in a small scale. Our Charty engaged in several fundraising activities including application for funding from Bimiingham City Council, local organisations and individual donations. We also encouraged people to donate itemslgoods (e.g. clothes, shoes, footwear) which we either sold in our second-hand Charity shop (on Villa Road, Bimingham) to raise funds or by directly giving some to needy unemployed youths who came for help. We also used social media including WhatsApp to raise awareness and appeal for support. Though our Charity was only registered within that year, our fundraising activities roduced some ositive results During the financial year, The Charity did not engage in any investment activities during. The Chanty however operated a second- hand shop wherein donated items were sold to raise funds to support the Charity's activities and o rations.
